FAQ

Visits and fees

How soon can you come?

Call before noon and a same-day slot is common; otherwise, the next day. Our schedule runs all seven days, 8 AM–7 PM.

What does the diagnostic visit cover?

A technician's trip, testing to find the cause, and the repair cost written out. Go ahead with the repair and the diagnostic fee is counted toward it.

Do you handle LG and Whirlpool warranty repairs?

Yes. We are LG and Whirlpool authorized, a family that includes Maytag, KitchenAid, JennAir and Amana. Covered repairs on those makes are handled by us, and we are still an independent, local company.

Which neighborhoods are on your map?

Ballard, Magnolia, Queen Anne, Fremont, Green Lake, Capitol Hill, West Seattle and Beacon Hill, plus the blocks in between. If you are not sure, put your ZIP code in the request.

Are your technicians licensed?

We hold a Washington appliance repair license, and every technician holds EPA 608 Universal certification for refrigerant work, so sealed-system repairs happen in your home.

Do you tell me the diagnostic fee before the visit?

Yes. We name it when we call back to set the arrival window, so nothing about the visit comes as a surprise.

And if I decide against the repair?

The diagnostic fee pays for the trip and the testing, and the written findings are yours to keep.

FAQ

Homes, parts and booking

Do I need to be home for the visit?

Yes, or someone over 18 who can let us in and approve the written price.

What if the part has to be ordered?

We book the return trip before we leave and tell you what to do with the machine in the meantime.

Do you repair appliances in rentals and condos?

Yes. Tenants often book us directly with the owner's or manager's okay, and we plan around building rules such as booked service elevators.

Is my old appliance worth repairing?

Often it is. We give you the repair price in writing and say plainly when a repair does not make sense for the age and condition of the machine.

Do you work on Saturdays and Sundays?

Yes. Saturday and Sunday run the same hours as the rest of the week, 8 AM–7 PM.

Can I book online?

Yes. Send the form on any page, and we call back to confirm the arrival window and the diagnostic fee.

Describe the trouble and we ring back to fix a time and quote the visit charge. The repair figure goes on paper, and nothing gets unscrewed until you have read it and said yes.
